Our Learning
“I’m extremely happy with my child’s development and she’s always excited to go to nursery!”
Dad of Sara (4 years old)
Our priority is to make your child’s learning experience as fun and fruitful as can be! That’s why we adopt a mixed learning approach, combining both adult and child led play. We focus on encouraging our children to explore their talents and reach their full potential.
Each child is allocated a key worker to help guide them, reassure them, monitor their progress and liaise with their parent or guardian on a daily basis. This ensures the child forms a bond with someone they know and trust.
Our activities and invitations for play focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 7 areas of learning:
Communication and language
Personal, social and emotional development
Physical development
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts & design
Typical Activities & Play.
Messy Play
Mud, paint, sand, porridge. You name it - we’ve got it, and we love to let them get stuck in :)
Construction
The classic building block, forever providing hours of open-ended fun for our little creatives <3
Arts & Crafts
We invite the children to experiment with different materials, expressing their own ideas and creations!
Practical Skills
We encourage children to look after themselves and their environment by hanging up their coats, putting on their own shoes, and tidying and washing up!
Reading & Role Play
From story times to sing alongs and dress ups, there’s no better way to spend an afternoon than getting lost in a land far away!
Nature Walks
We regularly take the children to explore the magical world of nature, watching how life miraculously changes over the seasons.
Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock.

Islamic Manners
With our little ones being so impressionable during these tender early years, there’s no better time to instil in their daily habits the beautiful manners and etiquettes of Islam. As well as the pleases and thank yous, we encourage morning salams and promote kindness, helpfulness and thoughtfulness through stories in the Quran & ahadith.
Islam, Allah & The Prophets
We centre our Islamic themes around age appropriate concepts and stories including topics like Allah as The Creator, My 5 Senses, The 5 Pillars of Islam and Stories of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his companions and other Prophets. These themes are usually explored through a weekly creative craft activity, followed by an open and interactive circle time.
Du’a
The magic of du’a is something so mesmerising to young children, they become in awe of Allah (swt) and all that He has blessed them with. At A Class Nursery we embed du’a into every part of our daily routine - from the morning adhkar to the du’a for sleeping, eating and starting an activity.

A Typical day.
Morning activities
We kick start the day with our morning salams and adhkar, followed by some free play or a focused activity like arts & crafts, building or messy play.
Snack time & Outdoor play
Children have a healthy snack at around 10am (usually consisting of water, milk and fruit) before heading out to the playground to burn off some energy and get exploring!
Circle time
After lots of fresh air the children come back inside and gather around for a nice read aloud story or sing along nasheed, followed by an associated activity.
Lunch & Rest time
Children have another bite to eat and are given the opportunity to nap or rest (depending on your preferences).
Afternoon activities
Some children prepare to go home whilst the others have some more fun in free play or organised activities like weighing, puzzles or nature walks!
